Disciplinary actions are the official steps taken when a member breaks the rules. They serve as corrective measures, starting with a warning and progressing to more serious penalties if the behavior continues. This process ensures consistent and fair treatment for everyone while maintaining unit order and discipline.
Warning:
First written warning.
1st Counselling:
This will be documented as your first formal infraction on your disciplinary record.
2nd Counselling:
Results in an immediate 24-hour suspension from unit activities and may include demotion.
If an NCO receives a second DA within a year's time, they will be asked to step down from their NCO positions.
3rd Counselling:
Constitutes permanent dismissal from the unit. An appeal may be filed with Command Staff after 60 days.
Transparency Policy:
To ensure accountability while protecting all members, this policy grants individuals the right to request a factual summary of a concluded disciplinary action's circumstances and outcome, which designated NCOs are authorized to disclose this information is provided solely to ensure procedural transparency and may not be used to harass, bully, retaliate against, or target the disciplined member, with any such misuse constituting a serious breach of policy that will itself result in disciplinary action.
All disciplinary actions can be questioned and challenged. If the offender feels they were wrongly DA’d they may bring it to another NCO for review.
Counselings will be archived after one calendar year from the issue date. After this year, they won’t interfere with any promotion processes but will still be on your record.
How Strikes Work:
A strike can be issued to any NCO by a SNCO+ member for failure to comply with tasking and duties.
All strikes must be submitted to command for approval before a strike can be issued.
An NCO can receive up to 3 strikes, once the cap is reached said strikes reset to 0 and a DA is issued in its place.
Strikes given after this point loop cap at 3 again before another DA is issued.
(It should be noted that after 2 DA’s in a years time, NCO’s will be asked to step down).
Possible Reasons for a Strike Being Issued:
Failure to put up troopers after stating so.
Improper use of channels or not directing conversations to proper area.
Such as, sending kit changes directly to mod team or using the suggestion board as a promotion board.
Failure to update Holocron.
Failure to distribute tags, promo’s, billets.
Making changes without correct approval or procedures followed.
Continued failure to comply with regulations.
Intended avoidance of duties.
Department related duties if NCO status directly correlates.
These are the most common reasons a strike can be issued, however not the only reasons.
In general, failure to comply with NCO responsibilities regardless of being on this document or not could result in a strike.
All strikes are subject to the discretion of SNCO+ and approved by command, no strike can be issued without final say so from command.
If a strike is received, said individual can request to speak with command regarding the issue but is not owed an audience.
All strikes will come with a written notice containing the reasoning for said strike.
Once a strike is issued it can not be removed from NCO’s record, however strikes become inactive after a year past the incident.
